Pakistan launches airstrikes on Afghan Taliban facilities -- security source
Pakistan launched airstrikes on Taliban facilities in Afghanistan, destroying key targets including an ammunition depot in Nangarhar province, a security source told Xinhua on Friday morning.
According to the source, Pakistan conducted the airstrikes as part of the Operation Ghazab Lil Haq (Wrath of Justice), which was launched after Afghan Taliban started attacks on Pakistani posts at the border on Thursday evening.
"One major ammunition depot, three Afghan battalions, and a sector headquarters were completely destroyed," said the source, adding that more than 36 tanks, artillery guns, and armored personnel carriers were also destroyed.

The Iranian and U.S. delegations wrapped up their new round of nuclear talks in Geneva "after significant progress in the negotiation," said Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi on Thursday.
"We will resume soon after consultation in the respective capitals. Discussions on a technical level will take place next week in Vienna," he said in a post on X.
The meeting marked the third round of indirect nuclear talks between Iran and the United States under the mediation of Oman, which began on Thursday morning.

Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Thursday told U.S. House lawmakers that she had no idea about Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell's crimes.
"I had no idea about their criminal activities. I do not recall ever encountering Mr. Epstein. I never flew on his plane or visited his island, homes or offices. I have nothing to add to that," Clinton said in a statement posted on social media.
The statement came before she was due to deliver a closed-door deposition before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee in Chappaqua, New York.
Zelensky says next trilateral meeting may be held in early March
The next trilateral meeting could take place in early March in Abu Dhabi, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Wednesday, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported.
Speaking after a meeting between Ukraine's negotiating team and envoys of U.S. President Donald Trump, Zelensky said there is growing readiness for another trilateral meeting and that preparations are underway for a possible leaders-level format.
"There is now greater readiness for the next trilateral format. Most likely, the next meeting will take place in the Emirates, specifically in Abu Dhabi. We expect the format to take place in early March," Zelensky said.
