(260301) -- UNITED NATIONS, March 1, 2026 (Xinhua) -- The United Nations (UN) Security Council holds an emergency meeting regarding the U.S.-Israeli attack on Iran at the UN headquarters in New York, Feb. 28, 2026. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Saturday condemned the military escalation in the Middle East, saying that the use of force by the United States and Israel against Iran, and the subsequent retaliation by Iran across the region, undermine international peace and security.
